Perseo MCP lets ChatGPT request a technical analysis from Perseo Insights and work with the results in the conversation.
Insights runs the analysis: SEO, performance, security, accessibility and technical configuration of a public website. ChatGPT receives structured data and can use it to answer your questions, explain a finding or discuss a fix.
For example, with the connection configured, you can ask:
“Analyze https://example.com with Perseo Insights and explain the issues found.”
ChatGPT starts the analysis, checks its status and retrieves the result when complete. You can then keep asking questions about the same data without leaving the conversation.
Available tools
| Tool | Behavior |
|---|---|
analyze_site | Takes a public HTTP(S) URL, starts the analysis and returns a task_id. Cached data may be reused; a fresh scan must be explicitly requested. |
get_analysis_status | Takes the task_id and returns the analysis status and progress without starting another scan. |
get_analysis_result | For a completed MCP analysis, returns findings, available metrics, a security summary and a report link when available. |
compare_sites | Takes two completed analysis task IDs. Compares metrics and shared or unique finding codes, without new scans or declaring an overall winner. |
Returned findings include a code, category, severity, description and remediation guidance. The public report, when available, provides the full analysis.
Connection
Model Context Protocol (MCP) defines how a client, such as ChatGPT, calls external tools and receives their data. Perseo Insights exposes these tools through Streamable HTTP.
- Endpoint
https://insights.perseodesign.com /mcp - Transport
- Streamable HTTP
Usage requires a client with MCP support and a configured Perseo Insights connection.
Scope and limits
Analysis is passive and limited to public HTTP(S) websites. Perseo Insights does not access private networks or modify the analyzed website.
ChatGPT must rely on the results returned by Insights. Unavailable metrics and findings absent from the analysis must not be invented.
